Getting started
To open your clan's stats, Clan War Stats needs to know which Clash of Clans account is yours. You prove it with two things from the game: your player tag and a one-time API token. It takes about a minute.
Menu names are from the current game and can move between updates. If something looks different, the item names (profile, More Settings, API Token) stay the same.
Step by step
-
1
Find your player tag
- Open Clash of Clans and tap your profile button (the blue badge with your experience level, top-left of the village screen).
- Your player tag is right under your name. It starts with #, like
#2PQ0YJLR. - Tap the share button next to your name, then Copy. You can also just type it: tags use only the characters
0289PYLQGRJCUV, so a round "O" is always a zero.

2
Get a fresh API token
- Open Settings (the ⚙ gear on the village screen; in some versions it's a Settings tab inside your profile).
- Tap More Settings.
- Scroll down to API Token, tap Show, then tap Copy.
Do this last. The token changes every time you open it and expires after a few minutes. Get a new one right before you press Verify & link.

Paste both and verify
On Clan War Stats, paste the tag and the token into the link form and press Verify & link. If your clan is tracked it opens right away. If you're its leader or a co-leader and it isn't tracked yet, you'll get a Track my clan button.

Finding your clan tag
Open your clan (tap the clan badge on your profile, or the Clan button in chat) and the clan tag is under the clan name, again starting with #. The share button next to it copies it. You don't need to type it here: we read your clan from your linked account. It's handy for checking you're in the right clan or for telling a leader which clan to add.

Is this safe?
Yes. We never get access to your game account. The API token can't log in, buy anything or change anything in your game, and it isn't your Supercell ID. It only lets Supercell's official API answer one question: does the person with this token control this player tag? We send it once, then throw it away.
Troubleshooting
- "That API token isn't valid for this player"
- The token belongs to a different account than the tag you typed, or it was already used. Check the tag on the profile of the account you're playing right now, get a fresh token, and try again.
- The token worked a minute ago
- Tokens expire after a few minutes and change every time you tap Show. Open More Settings again, copy the new one and paste it straight away.
- "No player with tag …"
- There's a typo in the tag. Copy it with the share button instead of typing it, and remember a round "O" is a zero.
- I linked the wrong account
- On your Account page, press Unlink next to it. Then switch to the right account in the game (Settings → Supercell ID), get that account's token and link it.
- I have more than one account
- Link each one separately. Switch accounts in the game, copy that account's tag and a fresh token, and use Link another account on your Account page. Each account needs its own token.
- "That player tag is already linked to another account"
- Someone (maybe you, with a different email) already verified it. Log in with that account, or contact the site admin.
